Less noise. More you.

A FEW FRIENDLY BOUNDARIES

You don’t have to
see everything.

Choose your no-thanks. Poof takes it from there.

Not these people.

A name, an @handle, a little peace. Hide matching posts about the people you’d rather see less of.

Not going there.

Some websites are a “not today.” Block visits, or unpoof one for a minute when you need a little wiggle room.

Poof’s smiling peach cloud

GONE. BUT NOT GONE-GONE.

A softer way
to scroll past.

Hidden posts become a little Poof cloud. Curious? Tap it and the original comes back with a poof.

Prefer a clean feed? Turn off cloud placeholders. Every list and filter has an off switch, too.

SMALL TOOL. SMALL FOOTPRINT.

Your feed
isn’t ours.

Your saved lists and basic filtering stay on your device. Optional local AI understands more than keywords without sending posts away.

Privacy, in plain English

No account to make.

Install it. Make your choices. That’s it.

Local AI. Optional, always.

Download text or image models when you want them. Classification then runs on your device.

A little online help, clearly labeled.

Online name lookup and anonymous statistics start off. Choose them in setup or Settings; each explains what it shares.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you
poof.

Where does Poof work?

On desktop Chrome, across ordinary web pages. Poof has filtering support for YouTube, Google, X, Reddit, and article-based news feeds, plus basic Instagram and Facebook post filtering. Website blocking works across HTTP and HTTPS sites. Coverage varies as website layouts change.

Does it work in social media apps?

No. This version works in desktop Chrome, not native social apps or Chrome on iPhone. The download here is a desktop browser extension.

Will it catch everything?

No filter is perfect. Poof starts with local name and text matching. Optional text AI adds semantic, multilingual filtering; optional image AI checks suggestive feed images and is experimental. It can miss posts or hide ones you’d rather keep. Tap a cloud to reveal a post, and adjust your filters anytime.

What does the AI download do?

The text model is about 136 MB and the image model about 157 MB. They run locally and use your device’s memory and battery. Downloads come from Hugging Face, which sees your IP and model requests, not your feed. Cloud AI is a separate, optional feature and is off by default.

Why does Chrome ask for website access?

Poof needs access to read matching posts, hide them, and block websites you choose. That permission is broad; it doesn’t mean your browsing history is uploaded. See exactly what stays local and what can go online.

Can I change my mind?

Of course. Reveal an individual post, unpoof a person, pause a whole section, or turn Poof off. A blocked website can be unpoofed for one minute in that tab, then it blocks again automatically.

A small tool.
A little peace.
